Day Out With Thomas 2008

As reported and known by most of us, DOWT 2008 will be held at the Thomaston Station Grounds. No more problems with set up and take down after each performance, no more guest appearances by freight trains, and no more shabby treatment by some Brass City officials. To the “good guys and gals” of Waterbury, we are sorry but greener pastures prevailed – and speaking of pastures, in the always interesting politics of Waterbury there may be some political “hay” to be gathered for the next city elections! Enough now of the past, now to the future: DOWT 2008 tickets went on sale on Valentine’s Day, 14 February, on Ticket Web. Merchandise Manager Kevin Meehan is in the initial planning stage and is already seeking assistance – contact him at wtbenginer@aol.com It is not too early to think about planning how you can help. And as this year’s event will be held at Thomaston, it will be a new experience for us! Keep the dates open – 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 August.
