So you want to get involved in train operations...

For any of our regular crews this is only a reminder but I know that there are some of you out there in the blogosphere who are interested in volunteering this coming season and getting involved in train operations. Well, the first step to becoming a qualified Naugatuck Railroad crewmember is by passing the NORAC test (after becoming a member of the museum of course). From that point, you can begin your training.

So if you were planning on getting involved this year, sign up for one of the NORAC classes as outlined in the last post. For reference, here is the relevant portion of the post...

Chief Rules Examiner Ralph Harris will be conducting rules classes for RMNE members who wish to participate in the operations of the Naugatuck Railroad. Please contact him via e-mail to register or for those without e-mail call (860) 482-3240 before 8:00pm. Classes will be held at the Thomaston Town Hall, likely downstairs in the Senior Center, beginning at 8:00am Thursday 26 February, Saturday 7 March, Saturday 21 March, and Sat 4 April. If you have any questions about NORAC please e-mail Ralph above, or send an e-mail to info at rmne.org
